We Do Ocean is a diving centre and nonprofit committed to ocean conservation and the sustainable regeneration of marine habitats.
In Padangbai, Bali, the organisation works with local coral experts and follows internationally recognised restoration standards to rebuild damaged reefs, while creating blue jobs and other economic opportunities for the local community.
To increase awareness of community-led marine restoration efforts, we developed an impact campaign centred around a short documentary highlighting the people and partnerships driving reef restoration in the region. By combining storytelling with conservation action, the project helped connect audiences with the ecological and social value of coral restoration, while showcasing how local communities can play a leading role in protecting and restoring marine ecosystems.
From the Mountain to the Sea
On the east coast of Bali, coral reefs are disappearing at an alarming rate, but a local diving centre refuses to let this happen. Instead, they’re bringing the very community that depends on these waters into the heart of the restoration effort.
