The Project
To increase awareness of responsible travel, we launched a campaign for World Tourism Day 2024. The campaign was centred around the film The Call of the Forest, which follows Achuar leader, Chumpi Washikiat, as he explores the crucial role tourism plays in preserving the Amazon’s biodiversity and Achuar culture. 
Partnering with key tourism organizations, we amplified the film’s message across digital channels. The campaign led to The Call of the Forest winning Best Travel/Tourism Short Film at Natourale Film Festival, being featured on National Geographic Germany, and gaining widespread traction. We reached 85K+ views on Instagram, 2K+ on YouTube, and gained 1K+ followers on Instagram and LinkedIn.

The Achuar in Ecuador have found a unique way to protect their land from deforestation - tourism. With a sustainable lodge, they protect 80,000 hectares of rainforest and their cultural heritage, at the same time.
