The Dos Aguas Foundation works to protect and restore Colombia’s critically threatened tropical dry forest. Its emerging community-led initiative aims to reconnect fragmented forest between La Cumbre and the Sanguaré Reserve by engaging local landowners, farmers, scientists and conservation partners.
We’ve worked on shaping the initiative into a clearer conservation and funding proposition—connecting habitat restoration, biodiversity monitoring,and local participation within a practical vision for a wildlife corridor. This has included developing the narrative, defining the project’s initial phases and bringing together partners such as the University of Sucre and WildMon.
We’ve built the resource-mobilisation strategy around that vision: identifying aligned funders, developing grant proposals, and creating opportunities for philanthropic and technical partnerships. The aim is to secure the resources required for community engagement, scientific monitoring, and long-term restoration.
